There will be many occasions over the festive season where re-runs of predictable movies or mind-numbing board games simply don’t appear attractive – if this fate befalls you, worry not!

Here at Leeds Golf Centre, we have the answer! Operating extended opening hours especially for our dedicated members and visitors, there’s no need to suffer in silence…or amongst noise for that matter! We’ll be closed on Christmas Day so there’ll be no opportunity to walk off that turkey dinner – however, we’re open every other day including New Year’s Day so please do come and pay us a visit!

The facility will close at 4pm on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve – aside from that, we’ll be open at 8am and closed at 8pm as usual.

Following the tremendous success of the brilliant ‘Young Masters Golf’ teaching programme launched in September this year, we are delighted to announce the programme will continue into the New Year.

The national scheme, open to boys and girls between the ages of 4 to 16, is a structured programme of learning that encourages and rewards young golfers from their very first swing right through to a more competitive standard of play.

Regular recipients of this newsletter will know that Leeds Golf Centre is one of the busiest and biggest facilitators of junior golf in the country – a reputation we are indeed very proud of. Our junior coaching staff are CRB-checked PGA Professionals and are extremely competent when it comes to nurturing talent and fostering a simple enjoyment of the game.

The next YMG Cadet group course (hosted by Josh Hirst) will commence on Saturday 21 January from 12pm until 1pm and will run weekly thereafter at the same time. The cost of this excellent 8-week package is just £68 – excellent value even in today’s economic climate.

Have a very merry Christmas & a happy New Year!

By now, you’ll hopefully be aware that  The Academy at Leeds Golf Centre has new state-of-the-art swing studios – what you may NOT realise is that this fantastic facility is intended for players of all abilities and not just single-figure handicap golfers!

Talking candidly about her recent experience with PGA Pro, Mark Moore, Margaret Lauebli (a Leeds Golf Centre member) said: “I would like to say how much I enjoyed the swing studio lesson and how surprised I was that it was so relaxed.
