Boasting design characteristics that genuinely suit players of all standards, Leeds Golf Centre’s two courses are noteworthy indeed.
The Wike Ridge Championship Golf Course, originally designed by esteemed UK architect, Donald Steel, is very much the jewel in the crown following a significant facelift at the start of 2012. Having created several new water features, additional bunkering, new tees and greens and greater definition through extensive tree transplantation, the project team have vastly improved the playability and overall flow of what is now a complete and engaging test of golf.
Furthermore, Leeds Golf Centre’s unique 12-hole par-3 course – The Oaks – is prepared and maintained to the same exacting standard as its better-known sibling. Promising year-round play andan unrivalled level of accessibility to beginners, juniors, casual golfers and more experienced players, the course is a tremendous asset and certainly not to be underestimated.
