1. Tee Off with a Twilight Round
There is something special about playing a round of golf as the day starts to wind down. The light is softer, the course is calmer, and the evening sun brings out the best in our beautiful courses. Twilight golf gives you the chance to fit in a game after work or enjoy a peaceful round in the early evening without the usual daytime rush.
Twilight rounds are not only a more relaxed experience, but they also offer great value for money. Whether you are playing solo to work on your game or booking in with friends for a social session, the later tee times let you make the most of summer’s longer days.
You do not need to be a member to enjoy twilight golf at Leeds Golf Centre. Everyone is welcome, and booking is simple. Just bring your enthusiasm and enjoy a laid-back game on one of Yorkshire’s most accessible courses.
What’s more, you have the choice of two courses – either squeeze in a Twilight round of golf on our popular 18 hole Wike Ridge course or enjoy an experience on the Par3 The Oaks course where there are 12 delightful holes of widely varying length with gently undulating greens to provide a challenge for players of all standards. The Oaks is perfect for when you are short on time.
2. Level Up at the Driving Range with Toptracer
If you have not tried our driving range yet, August is the ideal time to give it a go. Our 19 bays are powered by Toptracer technology, which brings a whole new level of fun and feedback to your practice session.
Toptracer tracks every shot you take, showing you stats like distance, accuracy, and ball speed. But it is not just for serious golfers. The system also includes loads of interactive games and challenges, making it a hit with kids, families and groups of mates too. You can even play virtual rounds on world-famous courses from the comfort of your bay.
It is a great way to dip your toes into golf without stepping onto the full course. There is no need to pre-book, just turn up, grab a bucket of balls, and take a few swings.
Open 7 days a week, the driving range is the perfect place to visit in Leeds, come rain or shine. The driving range is completely covered and is floodlit so the unpredictable English weather and darker autumnal/winter nights will not stop you!
3. Kick Back with a Game of Footgolf
Looking for something completely different? Footgolf might just be your new favourite summer activity.
It is exactly what it sounds like. A fun fusion of football and golf. You play with a size five football on a specially designed course, aiming to get the ball into oversized holes in as few kicks as possible. It is active, entertaining, and surprisingly competitive. Best of all, no golf experience is needed.
You can choose from six or 12 holes depending on how long you want to play for.

4. Give Golf a Go with a Taster Lesson
Thinking about giving golf a try but do not know where to start? You are not alone. A lot of people feel unsure about joining a golf club or signing up for lessons but that is exactly why we created our relaxed taster sessions.
These lessons are designed for total beginners. You will learn the basics in a friendly, pressure-free environment with one of our experienced PGA professional instructors from our Leeds Golf Academy. There is no judgement, no jargon, and no need to bring any equipment, we can provide everything for you.
Golf is a brilliant way to stay active, meet new people and enjoy the outdoors. And with just a bit of guidance, you will quickly find yourself getting into the swing of it.
If you have ever thought golf might not be for you, we would love to prove otherwise. Our lessons are all about building confidence, having fun, and helping you find your own style. At Leeds Golf Academy, we’ve a team of seven knowledgeable coaches all offering different packages.
Prefer to learn with a friend? Absolutely no problem. We offer group lessons which arguably are much more fun! Plus, it is a more affordable way to spread the cost as lessons are from just £20 per person.
5. Refuel, Relax and Reconnect at the Clubhouse
Your day out at Leeds Golf Centre does not have to end when the round does. Our clubhouse is open to everyone, whether you have played a full 18, enjoyed a driving range session, or simply popped by for lunch with friends.
